12U Wall-Mount Server Rack

This Tripp Lite SmartRack enclosure houses 12U of equipment up to 32 in. deep. A sealed NEMA 4 steel cabinet protects gear from water, ice, snow and other moisture. The unit measures 24.1 in. high, 24 in. wide and 34.1 in. deep with a 200 lb weight capacity. It mounts on a wall and swings away on a hinge for rear access.

Who this suits, who it does not

Ideal for industrial or outdoor sites that need a locked, weather-proof cabinet for shallow-depth servers, switches or patch panels. The 200 lb limit and fixed 12U height rule out heavier loads or taller chassis. Buyers needing deeper bays, higher density or floor-standing frames should consider other form factors.

NEMA 4 sealed protection

The defining spec is the NEMA 4 rating, which certifies the enclosure against ingress of water, ice and snow. This single attribute decides whether the rack meets the environmental demands of the installation site.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum equipment depth the 32 in depth enclosure can hold?

The sealed housing protects rack equipment up to 32 in. deep.

How does the NEMA 4 rating affect heat buildup during continuous operation?

The sealed NEMA 4 enclosure blocks moisture but limits airflow, so internal temperatures can rise unless active cooling is added.

What mounting hardware must already be in place to hang the 200 lb steel cabinet?

The wall must provide structural anchors rated for at least 200 lb to support the unit weight.
