Bi-Directional 4K Connection

This USB-C to DisplayPort adapter cable transmits Ultra HD video and multi-channel audio in either direction. It links a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 source to a DisplayPort monitor, or a DisplayPort source to a USB-C display, without extra adapters. The ten-foot length suits desktop, conference and home-theatre setups.

Upgrade From One-Way Dongles

Replaces single-direction adapters that only carry signals from USB-C to DisplayPort. The bi-directional design is worth it when you switch between a laptop driving an external monitor and a desktop driving a USB-C display. It also removes the need to carry separate cables for each scenario.

Build Integration

Requires a source device that supports USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video output. Handles HDR and 4:4:4 colour at 3840 x 2160 resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate under DisplayPort 1.2. HDCP 2.2 compliance enables protected 4K streaming. No driver installation is needed on supported hosts.

Questions about this item

What ports does the 10ft cable connect?

It has a male USB-C connector on one end and a male DisplayPort connector on the other, allowing direct connection between a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 source and a DisplayPort display, or a DisplayPort source and a USB-C display.

What is required for the USB-C port to output video through this cable?

The USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode; without Alt Mode the cable cannot convert the signal and no video will appear.

How long will the cable maintain 4K 60 Hz performance before signal degradation?

The 10ft length is engineered to meet DisplayPort 1.2 and HDCP 2.2 specifications at 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, so no scheduled replacement is needed under normal use.
