Right-Angled Polarized Extension

The Tripp Lite WA-001 is a 6-foot (1.8 m) power extension cord built for North American 125 V outlets. It carries a 10 A rating on 16 AWG SPT-2 conductors and fits devices that use a standard NEMA 1-15P polarized plug.

Angled Plug Changes Clearance

The right-angled male connector sits flush against the wall, letting furniture sit closer without bending the cable. Both male and female ends are polarized so the wide blade always aligns with the neutral slot, preserving the equipment ground reference.

Molded PVC Jacket Withstands Daily Use

A double-insulation SPT-2 jacket resists abrasion and kinking when routed behind desks or along baseboards. The molded strain relief at each end protects the internal conductors from pull forces during routine repositioning.

Questions about this item

Will the 16AWG SPT-2 cable jacket need replacement after years of bending?

The molded PVC jacket with double insulation is built for normal indoor flexing; avoid sharp kinks and excessive heat to maximise its service life.

What stops me from drawing more than 10A through the NEMA 1-15P plug?

The cord is rated 10A at 125V; exceeding that will overheat the 16AWG conductors and trip the upstream breaker or fuse.

Does the right-angled plug run warmer than a straight one when used all day at 10A?

At full 10A load the 16AWG wire will warm slightly; the right-angle moulding does not add measurable heat versus a straight plug.
