Purpose and audience

The Ubiquiti NanoBeam ac Gen2 is a 5 GHz wireless access point built for point-to-point airMAX ac bridging. It targets installers and network operators who need a focused, high-gain link over distance. The white, lightweight housing is manufactured in China and designed for straightforward mounting. It suits deployments where a dedicated directional bridge is preferred over omnidirectional access.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

This unit fits projects that require a single 5 GHz radio with integrated antenna for clear line-of-sight connections. It does not suit buyers who need multi-band operation or omnidirectional client access. Installers looking for a device with multiple radio chains or built-in routing features should consider a different product class.

Deciding specification

The defining spec is the 5 GHz airMAX ac radio with integrated high-gain antenna in a fixed form factor. This combination determines whether the NanoBeam can close the link distance and throughput your design requires. Verify that your regulatory domain matches the US model before purchase.
