  • 5GbE RJ45 port for high-speed PoE+ uplink

Tri-band WiFi 6E for high-density enterprise

The Ubiquiti Networks U6 Enterprise is a tri-band wireless access point built for environments that serve hundreds of simultaneous users. It operates across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and the new 6 GHz spectrum to deliver an aggregate 10.2 Gbps radio rate. The unit is designed for ceiling or wall mounting in offices, venues and campuses where client density is the primary challenge.

Mounting kit and PoE+ power input

A mounting plate, backing plate and screw kit are included so installers can secure the access point without sourcing extra hardware. The single 2.5GbE RJ45 port accepts 802.3at PoE+ power, removing the need for a local mains outlet; a PoE injector is not supplied. This combination simplifies deployment on existing enterprise switching infrastructure.

600-plus concurrent client capacity

The specification that determines suitability is the rated support for 600+ connected devices across all three radios. Networks with lower peak association counts will not utilise the full capability, while environments expecting higher densities should plan for additional access points. The 2.5GbE uplink ensures the wired backhaul matches the wireless throughput potential.

Questions about this item

When will the PoE+ injector need replacing if the access point runs continuously?

The unit draws power through its 2.5GbE port using 802.3at PoE+; the injector is an external part you source separately, so its lifespan depends on the model you choose.

What caps sustained throughput before the 2.5GbE uplink saturates?

Aggregate radio capacity is 10.2 Gbps across 6 GHz at 4.8 Gbps, 5 GHz at 4.8 Gbps and 2.4 GHz at 570 Mbps, but the single 2.5GbE link limits wired egress to 2.5 Gbps.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect in a ceiling mount running 600 clients all day?

No fan is fitted; the housing passively dissipates heat from the tri-band radios and 2.5GbE PHY, so audible noise is effectively zero while surface temperature stays within spec.
