4K PoE Dome Camera

The Ubiquiti UVC-G6-Dome-W is an all-weather, vandal-proof 4K PoE camera built for discreet installations in high-traffic areas. It uses a 1/1.8" 8MP image sensor and a multi-TOPS AI engine to deliver 3840 x 2160 resolution at 30 FPS. The fixed focal length lens provides a 109.9° horizontal field of view. Face recognition, license plate recognition, and smart detections for people, vehicles, and animals are handled on-device.

IP66 IK10 Thermals and Power

The aluminum alloy enclosure carries IP66 weatherproofing and IK10 tamper resistance for reliable outdoor operation. Maximum power consumption is 9.25W, supplied entirely through the 10/100 MbE RJ45 port using PoE within a 3757V DC supported voltage range. A built-in microphone captures audio without external wiring. The quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 based chip manages processing loads while maintaining stable temperatures inside the sealed polycarbonate mount structure.

UniFi Protect and Mounting Options

The camera integrates with the UniFi Protect application suite for centralized management and AI-driven event filtering. Included ceiling and wall mount hardware enables immediate installation on standard surfaces. Optional accessories such as a gang box mounting plate, dual camera mount, flush mount, and weather shield adapt the unit to specific site requirements. IR night vision reaches 30 m (98 ft) using built-in IR LED illumination and an IR cut filter for automatic day/night switching.

Questions about this item

How do I install the UVC-G6-Dome-W on a ceiling, and what step is often missed?

Mount the included gang box plate to a junction box, attach the camera dual mount, then secure the dome. The step often missed is fitting the optional weather shield before final tightening for IP66 sealing.

What maintenance will the UVC-G6-Dome-W need after installation?

Clean the polycarbonate dome periodically to maintain 30 m IR night vision clarity. Check the aluminum alloy enclosure seals and RJ45 port for corrosion; the IK10 rating resists vandalism but not environmental wear.

What is the first limit reached on the UVC-G6-Dome-W during continuous 4K recording?

The 100 MbE RJ45 port caps throughput at 100 Mbps, which saturates before the 9.25 W PoE budget or the quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor under sustained 30 FPS 3840 x 2160 streaming.
