UGREEN Cat 8 Cable 10 ft 40 Gbps

This UGREEN Cat 8 Ethernet cable measures 10 ft and carries a 40 Gbps data rate at 2000 MHz bandwidth. It uses shielded foiled twisted pairs with an aluminium foil layer to suppress crosstalk. A cotton braided jacket protects the conductors for long-term indoor use.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

The cable suits gamers, streamers and home-office users who want a durable, high-speed wired link for a PC, console, router or switch. PoE support allows it to power compatible devices such as access points or cameras. Buyers who need longer runs or in-wall rated jackets should look at other options.

40 Gbps 2000 MHz Bandwidth Rating

The 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz rating is the single figure that determines whether the cable can handle multi-gigabit internet plans and local network traffic without becoming the bottleneck. If your NICs or ISP connection exceed this ceiling, the cord will limit throughput.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 10 ft braided cable need behind a router or console?

The cotton-braided jacket adds only a few millimetres over a standard Cat 8 cable, so the same rear-panel space used for any RJ45 patch lead is sufficient.

What is the common mistake when plugging the RJ45 connectors into a PS5 or Xbox Series X port?

Pushing the connector in without hearing the retention tab click; the shielded plug must seat fully until the latch engages, otherwise the link drops to a lower speed.

After how many bend cycles should I consider replacing the cable if it runs across a high-traffic floor?

The braided construction is tested to 10000 bends; once the jacket shows permanent kinks or the connectors feel loose, replace it to keep 40 Gbps performance.
