USB audio adapter for computers and consoles

The Ugreen 30724 adds a 3.5 mm TRS stereo headphone and microphone connection through a USB-A port. It suits laptops or desktops with a faulty or missing onboard jack, as well as PS4 and PS5 controllers that accept USB audio. The adapter draws power from the host and requires no driver installation on supported systems.

ABS housing with in-line headset controls

The compact black enclosure measures 4.8 cm by 11.1 cm by 12.3 cm and weighs 0.02 kg, so it stays unobtrusive beside a laptop or console. A built-in DAC supports 16-bit 48 kHz output with a 90 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and the headset's own volume and mute switches remain functional. Only TRS headsets are supported; TRRS headsets with a single combined plug will not work.

Replaces a broken 3.5 mm jack or basic onboard audio

Users whose integrated audio has failed or picks up electromagnetic noise gain a clean digital path without opening the case. The step up is worthwhile when the existing port is dead, noisy, or absent, but it does not add surround sound, optical output, or higher sample rates than 48 kHz. Buyers needing TRRS headset support, a USB-C connection, or multi-channel audio should look elsewhere.
