  • Five white cables in one pack for multiple network drops

Five-pack for multi-room wiring

This pack contains five Cat6 UTP cables, each 60 ft long and white. They use copper-clad aluminum conductors rated to 400 MHz and terminate in gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends. The cables suit home, office or server-room runs where several drops are needed at once.

Replaces shorter or lower-category leads

Swapping a Cat5e or shorter patch cord for these 60 ft Cat6 links removes a bottleneck when devices sit far from the switch. The step up is worthwhile when PoE cameras, VoIP phones or media players need both data and power over a single run without signal loss.

Fits standard RJ45 ports without shielding

Unshielded construction keeps the cable flexible for routing through trunking or along baseboards. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion in humid areas such as server cabinets. No special tools or grounded patch panels are required; the cables plug directly into any RJ45 jack on routers, switches, consoles or printers.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 60 ft Cat6 cable need for its PVC jacket and cross-separator?

The PVC jacket and internal cross-separator add minimal bulk, so standard conduit or raceway sized for Cat6 UTP will accommodate the 60 ft length without extra clearance.

Which step is often missed when terminating the gold-plated RJ45 connectors on this cable?

Ensuring each wire reaches the end of the connector before crimping is the step most often missed; incomplete insertion causes intermittent contact on the gold-plated pins.

How often should the copper-clad aluminum conductors be inspected for oxidation in a PoE camera installation?

The PVC jacket is anti-oxidation rated, so visual inspection of the connectors once a year is sufficient; the conductors themselves do not require periodic checks.
