Uniden Advanced Fixed Mount VHF Marine Radio Black

Fixed-mount VHF marine radio

The Uniden fixed-mount VHF marine radio is built for vessels that need reliable ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communication. It covers all USA, International and Canadian marine channels, including the new 4-digit and Canadian B allocations. Digital selective calling with position send and request supports distress and routine messaging. The unit is intended for recreational and commercial mariners who require a dedicated helm station transceiver.

IPX8 submersible construction

The chassis meets IPX8 submersible rating, so it survives immersion and continuous exposure to spray and waves. A ruggedised housing protects internal circuitry from vibration and salt corrosion during daily operation. Memory channel scan, triple watch and dual watch functions let the operator monitor multiple frequencies without manual tuning. Transmit power is selectable between 1 watt and 25 watt to match range requirements and conserve battery reserve.

Pre-installation checklist

Verify that your helm console has the cut-out dimensions and mounting depth the radio requires. Confirm the vessel’s DC supply matches the radio’s voltage and current draw before wiring. Ensure an approved VHF marine antenna with correct coaxial connector and ground plane is available. Check that your MMSI number is programmed for digital selective calling functionality. A three-year water protection warranty applies from the original purchase date in 2023.
