SKU CH-JBMH-11V71

A dual handheld or mobile CB radio with 40 channels, NOAA weather alerts, selectable 4-watt or 1-watt output, FM mode and a large LCD

  • Dual handheld/mobile operation for flexible use
  • Largest LCD in class for clear channel viewing
  • NOAA weather alerts with 24-hour updates
  • Selectable 4-watt high or 1-watt low power
  • Full 40 CB channels for complete coverage

Dual handheld and mobile CB radio

The Uniden PRO538HHFM works as a portable handheld CB radio with the supplied battery trays or slides onto the DC adapter to become a fixed-mount mobile unit with an external antenna connection. It covers all 40 CB channels and adds a new FM mode alongside standard AM operation. A large LCD makes channel numbers and status icons easy to read in bright daylight or low light.

Drivers, off-roaders and emergency preparedness

The radio suits users who want one device for both handheld and vehicle use, with NOAA weather alerts and dual-watch monitoring built in. Buyers who need a permanently installed mobile radio with higher RF output or a dedicated base-station feature set should look at other options. The package includes a whip antenna, belt clip, hand strap and both NiMH and alkaline battery trays.

Full 40-channel coverage with FM mode

The single specification that decides fit is the complete 40-channel CB allocation combined with the new FM mode, giving access to every standard channel plus the clearer FM option where it is adopted. NOAA weather channels provide 24-hour alerts, and selectable 4-watt high or 1-watt low output lets the user balance range against battery life.
