Black heat-shrink tube shrinks at 98 °C to cover 18650 battery packs with 300 V insulation
This 2.1 m length of black polyolefin tubing is sized with a 70 mm flat width to slide over assembled 18650 battery packs before shrinking. It suits hobbyists, repair technicians and small-scale builders who need a single continuous sleeve rather than pre-cut pieces.
Supplied at 0.2 mm thickness, the tube reduces to roughly half its diameter when heated to 98 °C with a hot-air gun. The flame-retardant material then forms a tight, moisture-resistant and dust-proof barrier that also insulates electrically up to 300 V.
Because the tubing activates at 98 °C, a standard heat gun completes the job quickly without stressing nearby cells or wiring. The finished sleeve remains soft and stable in normal use, adding negligible bulk or weight while providing the required insulation and environmental protection.

The tube is rated for 300V, so it insulates 18650 battery packs and similar low-voltage assemblies up to that level.
At 70mm flat width and 0.2mm thick before shrinkage, the tube slides over standard 18650 packs; a 48% shrink rate then tightens it to a snug seal.
Move the hot air gun evenly around the tube until it shrinks fully at 98C; the common mistake is holding the gun in one spot, which can scorch the material.
