  • Product typePower
  • Ten-piece pack simplifies bulk wiring jobs
  • 5 mm × 2.5 mm barrel fits common DC devices
  • Pure copper 18 AWG cores deliver strong conductivity
  • Rated for 4 A continuous current load
  • 30 cm pigtail length suits tight enclosure routing

Ten-piece pigtail set

This pack contains ten DC power pigtails with a 5.5 mm by 2.5 mm female barrel connector. Each lead measures 30 cm in length and uses an 18 AWG pure copper core rated for 4 A. They are supplied new and ready for immediate wiring tasks.

Suitable for low-current DC devices

The connectors suit LED lighting strips, CCTV cameras and similar equipment that accepts a 5.5 mm by 2.5 mm plug and draws up to 4 A. Buyers needing a different barrel size, higher current capacity or longer cable runs should look at other options.

30 cm reach with 4 A headroom

The 30 cm tails give enough slack for panel or enclosure wiring while the 18 AWG copper handles continuous 4 A loads without overheating. Runs beyond 4 A or installations requiring extended lengths will exceed the comfortable operating range.

Questions about this item

What power source do I need so the 5.5mm x 2.5mm female plug on each pigtail can connect?

You need a matching 5.5mm x 2.5mm male DC plug supplying up to 4A; the pigtail’s female jack accepts that directly.

Can I use these 18AWG, 30cm leads with an existing supply that has a 5.5mm x 2.5mm output?

Yes, the female connector fits that standard barrel size and the 18AWG copper cores are rated for 4A continuous.

How can I confirm each of the ten pigtails is conducting properly after wiring?

Check continuity from the barrel centre pin to the stripped wire end and from the barrel sleeve to the other wire end with a multimeter.
