Unique-Bargains DC Power Adapter 90° 5.5×2.1mm to 3.5×1.35mm Red 10Pcs

Ten-pack 90-degree DC adapters

This pack contains ten right-angle adapters that convert a 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm female barrel jack to a 3.5 mm × 1.35 mm male plug. They suit hobbyists, CCTV installers and repair technicians who need to change connector sizes on low-voltage power leads. The red finish helps identify the modified cable in a loom.

Solder-free installation and common pitfalls

Each adapter is a moulded unit measuring 30 mm × 24 mm × 11 mm, so no soldering or crimping is required — just push the existing plug into the female end. The tight 90-degree bend can strain thin wires if the cable is pulled sideways, and the 3.5 mm male tip will not seat in a 3.5 mm × 1.3 mm jack, so verify the inner pin diameter before fitting.

Limits of the 5.5 mm to 3.5 mm barrel interface

The barrel standard carries only DC power and has no locking mechanism; vibration or tugging can disconnect the joint. Polarity is not encoded on the connector, so the installer must confirm centre-positive or centre-negative wiring on both sides. Current capacity is limited by the 1.35 mm pin cross-section, making the adapter unsuitable for loads above a few amps.
