What this cable does

The Unique-Bargains IR receiver extender plugs into a 3.5mm IR input jack and relays remote-control signals up to 26 feet away. It supports carrier frequencies from 38 to 56kHz and resists ambient-light interference for reliable operation with set-top boxes, LED controllers, media players and similar devices.

Check before ordering

Verify that your equipment has a 3.5mm IR input port labelled "IR IN" and that the jack matches this diameter. The receiver must be mounted with an unobstructed line of sight to the remote; covering the sensor head will make the remote unresponsive.

Build and daily use

A 3.0 metre flat cable with a low-profile stick-on receiver head keeps the installation tidy on shelves or behind cabinets. Wide-angle reception and strong anti-interference performance mean consistent control even in brightly lit rooms, while low power draw suits always-on appliances.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is anything else required to use the IR receiver extender cable?

The package contains the IR receiver cable with a 3.5 mm jack. You must confirm your device has a 3.5 mm IR input port; no additional parts are included.

How do I know which version or cable length to choose for my setup?

This model has a fixed 3.0 metre (9.8 foot) cable length and a 3.5 mm jack. Choose it only if your equipment matches that connector and the reach suits the installation.

What does the 26 foot receiving distance mean when the cable is installed in my AV cabinet?

The extender can detect a compatible 38–56 kHz remote signal up to 8 metres (26 feet) away, provided the flat head has a straight line-of-sight to the remote.
