SKU CH-6DSM-PZPVT

Clear nylon insulating washers (100 pcs) prevent electrical shorts between motherboard standoffs and screws

  • Clear nylon insulates motherboard standoffs preventing shorts
  • 100 washers supply enough for multiple PC builds
  • 6 mm OD fits standard motherboard mounting holes
  • 1 mm thickness spaces components without adding bulk
  • Flat design distributes screw load evenly across surface

Insulating Washers for Motherboard Standoffs

These clear nylon washers prevent electrical shorts by isolating metal screws from motherboard circuitry. The pack contains approximately 100 pieces for general fastening tasks. They provide a smooth bearing surface under bolt heads and nuts. Suitable for PC builders assembling or servicing desktop systems.

Spacer Gasket Dimensions and Material

Each washer measures 6mm outer diameter, 3mm inner diameter and 1mm thickness. The nylon construction offers electrical insulation and resistance to vibration loosening. Clear colour allows visual inspection of the fastener beneath. The lightweight 4g total pack weight adds negligible mass to assemblies.

Limitations of Flat Nylon Washers

Thin 1mm profile limits load distribution compared to thicker spacers. Nylon material may deform under high torque or sustained heavy compression. Not designed for high-temperature environments or structural load-bearing applications. Buyers needing thicker insulation or metal load-spreading should select different hardware.

Questions about this item

Do the nylon washers need periodic replacement when used as motherboard standoff insulators?

Nylon resists moisture and most solvents, so the washers do not degrade under normal indoor conditions and require no scheduled replacement.

What is the first limit reached when the washers carry a constant clamping load?

The 1 mm thickness controls how much the stack height compresses; once the fastener is torqued, the washer cannot compensate for further settling.

How much heat do the washers add when the system runs all day?

The washers are passive insulators; they generate no heat and add no measurable thermal resistance to the assembly.
