It reads badges, cards and forms through a wide slot that accepts many card sizes. The sealed optical assembly resists dust, dirt, water spills and repeated 5‑foot drops to concrete. An RS‑232 cable is included; the power adapter is sold separately.

Suits ID‑Card Check‑In, Not General Scanning

This unit fits libraries, fitness centres and workplaces that need reliable check‑in or check‑out of ID cards and barcodes protected by black anti‑photocopy panels. It does not suit retail point‑of‑sale scanning of merchandise labels, handheld inventory work or any application that requires a wireless or USB connection.

RS‑232 Interface Decides Compatibility
