Rear Left Strut for 2004-2007 Highlander
This Unity 15901 assembly fits the rear left corner of 2004 through 2007 Toyota Highlander models. It covers 2.4L variants where the fifth VIN digit is D and 3.3L variants where the fifth VIN digit is P. Front-wheel-drive and Touring Edition models are excluded from the application.
Preassembled Unit Replaces Separate Components
The complete strut arrives with top mount, bearing plate, bumper, insulators and coil spring already assembled. It replaces a worn original strut that would otherwise require disassembly and specialty tools to service individual parts. The jump is worth it when the existing strut is leaking, noisy or has sagged enough to affect ride height and alignment.
Bolt-On Installation Frees Up Shop Time
The preassembled design bolts directly to the vehicle’s existing mounting points without a spring compressor. It needs standard suspension hand tools and an alignment check after fitment. By eliminating spring compression, the job frees up bay time and reduces the risk of injury from stored spring energy.

Questions about this item
What vehicle models and years does the Unity 15901 rear left strut assembly fit?
The assembly fits 2004-2007 Toyota Highlander models. For 2006-2007 it covers the 2.4L with 5th VIN digit D and the 3.3L with 5th VIN digit P, excluding FWD and Touring Edition.
What installation step is often missed because the unit arrives preassembled?
The strut comes preassembled with top mount, bearing plate, bumper, insulators, and coil spring, so the common mistake is trying to compress the spring or reuse old hardware instead of bolting the complete unit in place.
When should the coil spring and mounts on this assembly be inspected or replaced?
Inspect the coil spring, mounts, and insulators at every major suspension service or if you notice uneven tire wear, knocking noises, or reduced ride height, as these components wear together over time.
