One-way pendant speaker

The Valcom V-1015B-WH is a one-way amplified pendant speaker designed for commercial background audio. Its weather-resistant metal enclosure suits retail floors, restaurants, offices, hallways and covered patios. Installation is straightforward using the included 6' chain for overhead suspension. The unit targets installers who need a simple, single-zone paging or music solution.

Sustained output behaviour

Rated at 5 watts, the high-efficiency driver delivers consistent volume for announcements and background music throughout extended trading hours. The amplified design removes the need for a separate central amplifier, reducing rack space and wiring complexity. The sealed metal housing protects internal components from humidity and dust in semi-outdoor locations. Thermal performance remains stable during continuous daily operation.

Five-watt rating decides fit

The 5-watt output determines whether this speaker covers the intended zone without additional units. Spaces requiring higher SPL or stereo imaging will need a different specification. The one-way dispersion pattern focuses sound downward, limiting horizontal coverage compared with wide-dispersion models. Buyers should match the wattage to the room size and ambient noise level before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the 5-watt pendant speaker generate noticeable heat or noise when left on all day?

The unit is a passive amplified speaker with no fan, so it runs silently and produces negligible heat during continuous operation.

What existing equipment is required to power the V-1015B-WH?

It requires a compatible Valcom power unit such as the -6 model to drive the 5-watt speaker from a distributed-audio line.

Will this pendant speaker work alongside older Valcom paging horns already installed on the same circuit?

Yes, it connects to the same distributed-audio line as legacy Valcom horns, so both can operate together from the shared power unit.
