Caster Wheel 6 in 1750 lb Load

This caster wheel supports a 1750 lb load rating and fits wheelbarrows or carts. It uses a polyurethane tread on an aluminium core with a 98 Shore A firmness. The wheel measures 6 in diameter and 2-1/2 in width. A 1/2 in axle size and included spanner bushing complete the assembly.

Upgrade From Lower Capacity Wheels

Replace wheels rated below 1000 lb when loads approach the 1750 lb limit. The jump is worth it if your current wheels deform under weight or wear quickly on rough surfaces. The firm polyurethane tread resists flattening better than softer rubber alternatives. Buyers who need a higher rating than 2999 lb cannot use this model.

Check Axle And Hub Fit Before Order

Verify your equipment uses a 1/2 in axle and can accept a 2 15/16 in hub length. Confirm the 6 in diameter and 2-1/2 in width clear the frame and fork. The wheel is not non-marking, so consider floor protection if used indoors. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

What axle size does the 6 in wheel need?

The wheel is designed for a 1/2 in axle and a spanner bushing is included in the package.

How do you fit the supplied spanner bushing during installation?

Slide the bushing into the wheel hub first, then insert the axle through the bushing; the bushing centers the wheel and prevents side-to-side play.

When should the polyurethane tread be replaced?

Replace the wheel when the 98 Shore A tread shows flat spots, deep cuts or the aluminum core becomes visible through the polyurethane.
