Rigid Plate Caster 600 lb Load Rating

This ZORO SELECT rigid plate caster is a single polyurethane wheel mounted on a fixed plate. It is designed for carts, wheelbarrows or similar yard equipment that need straight-line rolling without swivel movement. The unit ships new and carries a California Proposition 65 warning for listed chemicals.

Suits straight-line transport on flat surfaces

Builders who need a swivel caster for steering or a brake for parking should look elsewhere. The wheel has no lock and no brake, so it cannot be turned or held in place once loaded. Applications requiring side-to-side manoeuvrability or stationary locking are not supported by this model.

600 lb per caster capacity

Each caster is rated for 600 lb with a 4 in diameter and 2 in wide polyurethane tread on a polyolefin core. The non-marking wheel rolls on hard or smooth floors without leaving residue. Verify that the mounting plate pattern matches your equipment before purchase.

Questions about this item

What does the 600 lb load rating mean once the caster is mounted on a cart?

It indicates the maximum weight this single rigid caster can support when properly installed, so the total capacity of your equipment depends on how many casters you use.

How does the plate mounting pattern limit what frames it can attach to?

The rigid plate bolts directly to a flat surface using its pre-drilled holes, so the frame must match that bolt pattern and provide a solid mounting face.

What clearance and hardware are needed to fit the 4 in wheel and 2 in tread width?

You need enough vertical space for the 4 in diameter wheel plus the plate thickness, and bolts that suit the plate's hole size and spacing.
