V-Groove Rigid Caster for Heavy Loads

This rigid caster uses a V-groove iron wheel designed to run on inverted angle-iron track. It supports a load rating of 800 lb and suits industrial carts, material-handling dollies or custom fabrication projects that need guided linear travel.

Wheel Dimensions and Track Compatibility

The wheel diameter is 4 in and the tread width is 2 in. Both the tread and the core are solid iron, so the caster will only roll smoothly on a matching V-groove track; it is not suited for flat floors, carpet or uneven surfaces where the groove cannot engage.

Mounting and Brake Considerations

The caster mounts via a top plate and includes no swivel lock or brake, so the equipment frame must provide its own stopping method. Verify that the plate bolt pattern matches your existing holes before ordering, and note the Proposition 65 warning for California buyers.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 4 in. V-groove rigid caster or a different size for my cart?

This model has a 4 in. wheel diameter and an 800 lb load rating; choose it when those figures match your cart's axle height and weight requirement.

What does the 800 lb load rating mean once the caster is mounted on a machine?

The 800 lb rating is the maximum weight this single rigid caster can support when properly bolted to a flat mounting plate.

How does the V-groove tread shape affect tracking on angle iron track?

The V-groove iron wheel rides on inverted angle iron track, guiding the cart in a straight line without a swivel mechanism.
