  • Weatherproof construction allows indoor and outdoor installation flexibility

Cat 8 shielded cable for 25 and 40 Gbps networks

The VAREQOY Cat 8 Ethernet cable runs 50 ft with 26 AWG conductors and full SFTP shielding. It is rated for 2000 MHz operation and supports 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T links. The gold-plated RJ45 plugs fit servers, switches, routers, consoles and PCs.

Passive copper runs cool and silent

With no active components the cable generates no heat and makes no noise. Power draw is limited to the negligible leakage of the connected ports. The weatherproof, UV-resistant jacket handles in-wall or outdoor routing without degradation.

Backward compatible with earlier categories

The cable works with Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6a and Cat 7 equipment at their native speeds. Shielding reduces alien crosstalk in dense bundles. Buyers who need fibre distances or powered extenders should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I route the 50 ft shielded Cat 8 cable through walls and what step is often missed?

The cable is weatherproof and UV resistant for in-wall or outdoor runs. The step often missed is keeping the shielded pairs untwisted only at the gold-plated RJ45 ends to maintain the 2000 MHz performance.

What maintenance or replacement will the gold-plated RJ45 connectors need over time?

Gold-plated RJ45 contacts resist corrosion, so no routine cleaning is required. Replace the cable only if the jacket is cut or the connectors become loose after repeated insertion cycles.

At what length does the 40 Gbps rating reach its limit under sustained load?

The 50 ft length stays within the Cat 8 channel limit for 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T, so the 40 Gbps rate holds across the full run without signal degradation.
