Industrial Strength Fasteners

Velcro Brand Industrial Strength Heavy-Duty Fasteners come in a 2" x 25 ft black roll designed for permanent mounting and organisation tasks. The tape uses a water-resistant and UV-resistant adhesive that functions indoors and outdoors. It suits installers, technicians and DIY users who need a reliable hook-and-loop bond without tools.

Capacity and headroom

The fastener holds up to 10 lbs per connection and operates in extreme temperatures from -40 to 194 degrees. It delivers 50% more strength than standard hook-and-loop products for demanding loads. Very heavy items or dynamic shear forces beyond the rated limit will exceed the tape's holding capability.

Deciding specification

The 2-inch width combined with a 25-foot continuous length determines how many mounting points you can create from one roll. Buyers who need narrower strips or shorter lengths for small-scale projects should consider a different format.

Questions about this item

Will the 2-inch wide Velcro VEL-30081-AMS tape bond securely to the painted metal cabinet I already have?

The industrial-strength adhesive is water resistant and UV resistant for indoor and outdoor use on clean, dry surfaces including painted metal.

How can I verify the Velcro VEL-30081-AMS roll is holding at its rated 10 lbs after I apply it?

Press both sides firmly together, allow the adhesive to set, then suspend a 10 lb load; the bond should remain secure.

Does the Velcro VEL-30081-AMS box include both hook and loop sides, or must I buy the mating piece separately?

The roll contains the full fastener system with hook and loop on the same strip; no separate purchase is required.
