Velztorm Orix gaming desktop

The Velztorm Orix is a new gaming desktop built around a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K processor with 16 cores and 24 threads. It pairs that CPU with a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card carrying 16GB GDDR6 memory. The system includes 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB PCIe SSD for storage. It ships with Windows 10 Home installed.

Suited for high-refresh 1440p and 4K gaming

This configuration suits players who want strong frame rates at high resolutions and creators who need multi-threaded CPU performance. The 16GB memory capacity and single 2TB drive limit buyers who want more storage or larger memory kits for heavy multitasking. The lack of an optical drive also rules out users with physical media libraries.

2TB PCIe SSD capacity and 16GB DDR5 headroom

The 2TB PCIe SSD comfortably holds a large game library and working files, though it fills quickly with extensive 4K captures. The 16GB DDR5 handles current titles and productivity workloads, but memory-intensive rendering or virtualisation will exhaust the available capacity. The 850W power supply supports the installed components.

Questions about this item

Does the Velztorm Orix need a separate monitor to use the Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics?

Yes, the system ships with no display. You must connect an external monitor to the graphics card's HDMI or DisplayPort output.

Will the 2.5Gbps RJ-45 port negotiate down to 1Gbps with my existing router?

The 2.5Gbps Ethernet port is backward compatible and will automatically negotiate to 1Gbps when connected to a standard Gigabit router.
