Gaming desktop with Ryzen 7 3700X

This Velztorm Pilum system is a complete gaming desktop built around an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor running at 3.6 GHz with a 4.4 GHz boost. It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 memory, a 512 GB SATA SSD paired with a 2 TB hard drive, and a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for immediate use.

Build quality and daily connectivity

A 120 mm all-in-one liquid cooler with RGB lighting handles CPU thermals while a 750 W power supply feeds the components. The chassis provides 802.11n Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet for network access. Front and rear I/O includes USB 3.1 Gen1, five USB 3.0 Type-A ports, four USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C Gen1 port, HDMI, DisplayPort, and separate microphone and headphone jacks.

Upgrade context and value

The configuration replaces an older machine limited to lower memory capacity or slower storage by delivering 64 GB of DDR4 and combined solid-state and mechanical drives. The jump is worthwhile when a workflow demands high core counts, large memory headroom, and a 16 GB GDDR6 GPU for 1440p or 4K gaming without immediately adding parts.

Questions about this item

What does the USB 3.1 Gen1 interface cap at for data transfer?

USB 3.1 Gen1 on this system is rated for up to 5 Gbps, which is the practical ceiling for the Type-A and Type-C ports listed.

What clearance does the 120mm AIO liquid cooler need inside the case?

The 120mm AIO requires a 120mm fan mount and enough room for the radiator plus tubing; the CPU block sits on the AM4 socket with standard retention.

How is the Radeon RX 6900 XT installed, and what step is often missed?

The card is pre-installed in the primary PCIe x16 slot; the step people miss is connecting both 8-pin power cables from the 750W supply before first boot.
