Velztorm Pilum Gaming Desktop

The Velztorm Pilum is a pre-built gaming desktop configured with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor, 128GB of DDR4 memory, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card with 6GB GDDR6. Storage combines a 1TB SATA SSD and a 1TB hard drive. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and a 750W power supply.

Who This Suits and Who It Does Not

This system suits players who want a ready-to-use PC for 1080p gaming and multitasking with very high memory capacity. It is not for buyers who need a newer CPU platform, faster storage interfaces, built-in Bluetooth, or a graphics card with dedicated ray-tracing hardware.

Deciding Specification: 128GB DDR4 Memory

The 128GB DDR4 capacity is the specification that determines whether this desktop matches the workload. It supports heavy multitasking, content creation, and memory-intensive applications that standard 16GB or 32GB configurations cannot handle. Verify that the motherboard and operating system can address the full amount before purchase.

Questions about this item

What USB 3.1 generation is on the Velztorm Pilum and what speed does it cap at?

The system includes USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, which operate at up to 5 Gbps in practice.

What physical space and power connections does the GTX 1660 Super require inside the chassis?

The graphics card uses a dual-slot design and needs one 8-pin PCIe power connector from the 750W supply.

How is the 128GB DDR4 memory installed, and which slot population mistake should I avoid?

The 128GB kit fills all four DIMM slots; the common error is populating only two slots and leaving the other pair empty, which prevents the full capacity from being recognised.
