Velztorm Pilum Ryzen 7 Gaming Desktop

This desktop is a pre-built gaming system powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD plus 1TB hard drive. The machine targets players who want a ready-to-use rig for 1080p gaming and general productivity.

750W PSU with AIO cooler and front USB-C

A 750-watt power supply feeds the components while a 120mm AIO liquid cooler manages CPU thermals under load. The chassis provides USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C, five USB 3.0 Type-A and four USB 2.0 ports for peripherals, plus HDMI and DisplayPort for monitors. Wired Ethernet and 802.11n Wi-Fi handle network connectivity without extra adapters.

GTX 1660 Super limits ray-traced titles

The GTX 1660 Super delivers 6GB GDDR6 memory and DirectX 12 support but lacks hardware ray-tracing cores, so newer titles with heavy ray-tracing effects will run at reduced settings. The 512GB NVMe drive holds the OS and a few large games, while the 1TB hard drive suits bulk storage. Windows 10 Pro is installed; buyers needing Windows 11 must upgrade separately.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the GTX 1660 Super use, and what bandwidth does that provide?

The GTX 1660 Super runs on a PCIe 3.0 x16 link, giving up to 16 GT/s per lane for a total of 16 GB/s of theoretical bandwidth to the Ryzen 7 3700X.

What motherboard form factor and power connectors are required to fit this Pilum desktop?

The system uses a standard ATX motherboard powered by the 750 W supply, which provides a 24-pin ATX connector, an 8-pin EPS CPU connector, and one 8-pin PCIe connector for the graphics card.

How is the 120 mm AIO liquid cooler installed, and which step is often missed?

The 120 mm radiator mounts to the rear 120 mm fan slot with four screws; the pump block attaches to the AM4 socket using the supplied back-plate and spring-loaded screws, and the step people forget is connecting the pump's 3-pin header to the CPU_FAN header so the BIOS can monitor pump speed.
