Velztorm Pilum Gaming Desktop PC

The Velztorm Pilum is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory, a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD and a 3TB hard drive. Windows 10 Pro is installed and a 750W power supply drives the components.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This system suits gamers who want a ready-to-play machine with a balanced CPU and GPU for 1080p gaming and multitasking. Buyers who need more graphics memory for higher resolutions, more than 32GB of RAM for heavy workloads, or a newer CPU platform should look at other configurations.

GTX 1660 Super 6GB GDDR6 graphics card

The GTX 1660 Super with 6GB of GDDR6 memory determines the gaming performance ceiling. It supports DirectX 12 and G-SYNC for smooth 1080p gameplay. If your titles demand more video memory or newer architecture features, this graphics card will be the limiting factor.

Questions about this item

Will my existing monitor work with the GTX 1660 Super's HDMI and DisplayPort outputs?

Yes, the GTX 1660 Super provides one HDMI and one DisplayPort connection, so any monitor with either input will work without adapters.

Can I keep using my DDR4 memory modules if I decide to expand the 32 GB already installed?

The system uses DDR4 DIMM slots; any additional modules must be DDR4 to be compatible with the motherboard and the existing 32 GB kit.

How can I verify the 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD is running at its advertised speed after setup?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab, select the SSD, and confirm the reported link speed matches the PCIe NVMe interface capability.
