Velztorm Pilum Gaming Desktop

This Velztorm Pilum is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 64GB DDR4 system memory, a 1TB SATA SSD for the operating system, and a 6TB HDD for bulk storage. Windows 10 Pro is installed and a 750W power supply drives the components.

Best for high-memory gaming workloads

The 64GB DDR4 capacity suits users who run memory-intensive games, streaming software, or creative applications alongside their gameplay. The RTX 3070 delivers GPU performance for 1440p gaming with G-SYNC support. Builders who need more than 64GB of RAM or who require a faster storage interface than SATA for their primary drive should consider other configurations.

1TB SATA SSD primary drive

The boot drive uses a 1TB SATA SSD, which determines the baseline speed for operating system loading and application launches. This interface is slower than PCIe alternatives, so buyers who prioritise the fastest possible boot and level-load times should verify that SATA performance meets their needs before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How does the 3.6 GHz base clock on the Ryzen 7 3700X behave once the system is under load?

The 8-core processor can boost up to 4.4 GHz when thermal headroom allows, giving higher single-thread speed in games and applications.

What does the PCIe 4.0 link on the RTX 3070 mean for real-world throughput?

The graphics card runs at PCIe 4.0 x16, so it can saturate the bus with its 8 GB of GDDR6 memory without being limited by the slot.

Will the 120 mm AIO liquid cooler and 750 W power supply fit in a standard ATX chassis?

The system is built in a desktop tower that accommodates the 120 mm radiator and the 750 W unit with room for the 6 TB 3.5-inch hard drive.
