Ryzen 7 3700X Gaming Desktop

This Velztorm Pilum desktop pairs an eight-core Ryzen 7 3700X processor with an RTX 3070 graphics card for 1440p gaming and multitasking workloads. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD plus 1 TB hard drive provide capacity for large game libraries and creative projects. The system ships with Windows 10 Pro and a 750 W power supply.

802.11n Wireless Limit

Wireless connectivity uses 802.11n, which tops out well below modern router speeds and can bottleneck downloads or streaming on faster internet plans. A wired Ethernet connection is recommended for competitive play or large file transfers. Bluetooth is not included, so peripherals need USB dongles or cables.

32 GB DDR4 Memory

The installed 32 GB of DDR4 suits current titles and content-creation tasks without requiring an immediate upgrade. Builders who need more memory for virtualization or heavy rendering will have to add modules themselves, as the configuration is fixed at this capacity.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 16GB, 32GB, 64GB or 128GB DDR4 option for this Pilum build?

32GB DDR4 is the sweet spot for modern titles and multitasking; 16GB can limit background apps, while 64GB and 128GB only benefit heavy content-creation workloads.

What does the Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz to 4.4 GHz range mean once the PC is assembled?

The 8-core processor runs at 3.6 GHz base and boosts to 4.4 GHz under load, delivering strong frame rates in games and quick response in productivity tasks.

How does the PCIe 4.0 link on the RTX 3070 affect real-world throughput?

The graphics card uses a PCIe 4.0 x16 connection, so it saturates the slot bandwidth and removes any bus bottleneck at 1440p or 4K.
