System identity

The Velztorm Pilum is a desktop gaming computer built around an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight‑core processor running at 3.6 GHz with a 4.4 GHz boost. It ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and includes an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card for 1080p play.

Deciding specification

The GTX 1660 Super carries 6 GB of GDDR6 memory and supports G‑SYNC and DirectX 12. That single GPU determines whether the system can run the titles you want at the settings you prefer.

Build integration

A 750 W power supply feeds the CPU, GPU and an RGB 120 mm AIO liquid cooler. Storage combines a 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD with a 6 TB 3.5‑inch HDD. Connectivity covers 802.11n Wi‑Fi, gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.1 Gen1 Type‑C, five USB 3.0 Type‑A, four USB 2.0, HDMI and DisplayPort. The platform uses DDR4 memory.
