Purpose-built gaming desktop

The Velztorm Pilum arrives as a complete Windows 10 Pro system built around an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor clocked at 3.6 GHz with a 4.4 GHz boost. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD provide quick load times for modern titles. An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super with 6 GB of GDDR6 handles 1080p gameplay and supports G-SYNC and DirectX 12.

Upgrading from older GTX 10-series

Moving to the GTX 1660 Super adds dedicated 6 GB GDDR6 memory and higher clock speeds that lift frame rates in current games at 1080p. The jump is worth it when your existing rig struggles to maintain 60 fps on medium settings or lacks a PCIe NVMe boot drive. The 750 W power supply and 120 mm AIO liquid cooler give headroom for the faster GPU and CPU without extra parts.

Suits 1080p gamers and streamers wanting

Buyers who need a pre-assembled desktop with Wi-Fi, multiple USB 3.0 and 3.1 ports, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, and RGB lighting will find the Pilum convenient. It is not for buyers who want more storage than the single 1 TB SSD, builders who need a second graphics card, or anyone requiring Bluetooth connectivity.
