Archival-Grade DVD-R Media

Verbatim UltraLife Gold Archival Grade DVD-R discs provide 4.7 GB capacity per disc for long-term data preservation. The 50-pack spindle uses proprietary dual reflective layers combining silver for broad drive compatibility and gold for natural corrosion resistance. This construction ensures low initial error rates after recording, a critical factor for archival longevity. Suitable for storing family photos, home movies, or crucial corporate data.

Users Needing Long-Term Archival Storage

These discs suit individuals and organisations requiring reliable, long-lasting storage for irreplaceable data. The gold layer resists environmental degradation that affects standard silver discs over decades. Buyers needing rewritable media for frequent backups or temporary file transfers should look at DVD-RW or other formats. Those requiring higher capacity per disc than 4.7 GB must consider Blu-ray or alternative storage solutions.

8x Write Speed Rating

Each disc supports a maximum write speed of 8x for efficient recording sessions. The dual-layer reflective technology maintains compatibility with standard DVD drives and recorders at this speed. Verbatim model 95355 delivers consistent performance across the 50-pack spindle for batch archiving projects.

Questions about this item

Does the 50 pack spindle include cases or do I need to buy them separately?

The 50 pack comes on a spindle only; individual cases are not included and must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 4.7 GB 8X version or is there a higher capacity option in this model?

Model 95355 is only offered as 4.7 GB 8X DVD-R; no higher capacity version exists for this product number.

What does the 8X speed mean when I burn a full 4.7 GB disc in my drive?

At 8X the drive can write a full 4.7 GB disc in roughly eight minutes, assuming the drive and media both support that speed.
