50 GB Double-Layer Blu-ray Discs

These Verbatim BD-R DL discs store 50 GB each and support recording at up to 6X speed. The pack contains 25 discs in a spindle. A white thermal-printable surface allows direct label printing with compatible thermal printers. HardCoat protects the recording side against scratches, fingerprints and dust.

Archival storage and custom-labelled media

Suited for users who need one-time write media for large backups, HDTV recordings or music collections and who want to print durable labels directly on the disc. Not suited for buyers who require rewritable media or who do not have a thermal disc printer for the printable surface.

50 GB capacity per disc

The 50 GB capacity of each double-layer disc is the specification that determines whether the media can hold the intended data set. Verify that your burner supports BD-R DL recording before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the 25 pack spindle include a thermal printer or printing ribbon?

The pack contains only the 25 white thermal printable BD-R DL discs; a compatible thermal disc printer and ribbon must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 50GB 6X BD-R DL over a single-layer 25GB disc for my project?

Choose the 50GB double-layer version when you need to store up to 50GB on a single one-time record disc instead of splitting data across multiple 25GB discs.

Will the 6X speed rating mean the disc writes at 6X on any Blu-ray burner?

The 6X rating is the maximum supported speed; actual write speed depends on the burner firmware and media code, so it may write slower on some drives.
