Verbatim 8.5GB DVD+R DL 50-Pack

This spindle contains 50 Verbatim 96732 DVD+R DL discs, each offering 8.5GB of write-once storage. They record at up to 8X speed and use AZO recording technology for broad drive compatibility and long archival life. The shiny silver surface accepts thermal disc printers for custom labels. The pack suits home and office users who need high-capacity optical media for video, music or data backup.

Who should choose this, who should not

Buyers who need 8.5GB per disc for long-form DVD video or large data archives will find the double-layer capacity and 50-disc quantity convenient. Users who only store small files or require rewritable media should look at single-layer or DVD-RW options instead. Anyone without a DVD+R DL compatible writer cannot use these discs.

Double-layer 8.5GB capacity at 8X write speed

Each disc provides 8.5GB of space, enough for four hours of DVD-quality video or 16 hours of VHS-quality recording. The 8X maximum write speed reduces burning time for full discs. Verify that your optical drive supports DVD+R DL recording before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How much power does the Verbatim 96732 spindle draw when discs are written at 8X all day?

The discs themselves draw no power; only the DVD writer consumes electricity during burning.

What drive capability must my computer already have to use these 8.5 GB DVD+R DL discs?

A DVD writer that supports DVD+R Double Layer recording at up to 8X speed is required.

Will these double-layer discs play in an older DVD-ROM drive that only reads single-layer media?

Compatibility depends on the drive; many older DVD-ROM units cannot read the second layer.
