Double-layer capacity and printable surface

Verbatim 98319 discs provide 8.5GB of storage on a single-sided DVD+R DL format, eliminating the need to flip the media. The white inkjet printable surface supports full-colour, edge-to-edge labelling directly on the disc. A spindle pack contains 50 discs for high-volume burning tasks.

Suited for archiving and low-volume duplication

This media suits users who need to store large video files or data archives on individual discs and want professional-looking printed labels. It is not for buyers who require rewritable media for repeated backups. It is also not for drives that lack DVD+R double-layer writing support.

8X maximum write speed

Compatible double-layer burners can write a full 8.5GB disc in 12 to 15 minutes at the rated 8X speed. This performance level saves up to 25 minutes per burn compared to slower media. AZO recording technology underpins the reliability of each disc.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Verbatim 98319 disc and what step do people get wrong?

Insert the disc into a compatible DVD+R DL burner with the white printable side facing up; the common mistake is placing it label-side down, which prevents the laser from reaching the recording layer.

What maintenance or replacement will the Verbatim 98319 discs need later?

As write-once media, each disc is burned once and then stored; no maintenance is required, but any disc with read errors must be replaced by burning a fresh disc from the 50-pack spindle.

What limit shows up first during sustained burning of the Verbatim 98319 discs?

The 8X maximum write speed caps each burn at roughly 12 to 15 minutes per 8.5GB disc, so burner throughput is the first bottleneck during extended duplication sessions.
