1080p dome camera with varifocal lens

The Verint V4320FDW-DN is a 1080p network dome camera built for indoor or outdoor surveillance. It captures video at 1080p resolution using a 1/3-inch sensor and a 3-9 mm varifocal lens that lets installers adjust the field of view. True day/night operation switches automatically between colour and monochrome modes. H.264 and MJPEG compression reduce bandwidth and storage requirements.

Suited for flexible viewing angles.

This camera suits installers who need to set a specific viewing angle on site, such as corridors, entrance lobbies or car-park aisles. The varifocal lens covers a range from wide to narrow so one model fits several mounting positions. Buyers who want a single fixed wide-angle lens or a motorised zoom they can adjust remotely should look at other models.

0.001 lux minimum illumination

The sensor reaches a sensitivity of 0.001 lux, allowing usable monochrome images in very low ambient light without supplemental infrared. This figure determines whether the camera can operate in dimly lit hallways or night-time exteriors without extra lighting. If the scene is darker than this threshold, an external illuminator or a camera with lower lux rating will be required.

Questions about this item

What recording device or software do I need to store footage from this 1080p H.264 camera?

Connect the camera to a network video recorder or VMS that accepts H.264 or MJPEG streams over IP; the unit delivers 1080p resolution at up to 1/10,000s shutter speed.

Will this dome camera work with my existing analogue DVR that uses BNC cables?

No, this is an IP network camera transmitting H.264 and MJPEG over Ethernet; it cannot connect directly to an analogue DVR without an encoder or hybrid recorder.

How can I verify the day-night switch is functioning after installation?

Observe the live feed in low light; the true day-night filter should engage and the image should remain visible at 0.001 lux sensitivity with the 3-9mm varifocal lens adjusted.
