Zero-U IP KVM transmitter extends WUXGA 1920 x 1200 video over RJ-45 with dual USB and DVI-D connectivity
The Vertiv HMX5160T-DVID is a zero-U IP KVM transmitter designed for rack environments. It extends a single computer over a standard network using a single RJ-45 connection. The unit supports a maximum video resolution of 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz via its DVI-D port. It is built for administrators who manage servers remotely from a workstation.
The bundle provides one DVI-D video interface and two USB ports for keyboard and mouse signals. These connections allow the transmitter to carry high-resolution video and HID data over IP without additional converters. The 5 V DC input powers the unit directly, eliminating the need for a separate power supply in compatible racks. Plug-and-play operation simplifies deployment in existing infrastructure.
The transmitter comfortably handles WUXGA resolution at 60Hz for single-display server management. It runs out of headroom beyond 1920 x 1200, so multi-monitor setups or 2560 x 1600 requirements are not supported by this model. The zero-U form factor fits dense racks where space is limited. Buyers needing higher resolutions or multiple video outputs should consider other models in the series.

The unit is a sealed zero-U transmitter with no user-serviceable components; firmware updates are handled centrally through the Avocent HMX Advanced Manager when the appliance is connected to the management network.
The DVI-D link and the 5 V DC power budget limit the stream to a single 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz channel; no higher resolution or refresh rate is supported on this model.
The zero-U dongle has no internal fan and draws only 5 V DC, so it adds negligible heat and runs silently in a rack environment.
