4K HDMI KVM over IP Receiver

The ATEN KE8952R is a rack-mountable KVM over IP receiver that delivers 4K video at 3840 x 2160 resolution over a wired network connection. It supports a single computer and provides one HDMI output alongside four USB ports for peripheral access. Two RJ-45 network ports enable flexible deployment while Power over Ethernet simplifies cabling by removing the need for a local power adapter.

Sustained Operation with PoE

The unit draws 5 V DC input and can be powered continuously through its network ports, avoiding the voltage drop or adapter heat that can affect shorter-run installations. Dual network interfaces maintain the video and USB streams during extended sessions without relying on a single link. RoHS and WEEE certifications confirm the hardware meets environmental standards for long-term rack deployment.

Verify Network and Display Compatibility

Confirm your infrastructure provides Power over Ethernet on the switch ports that will connect to the receiver’s two RJ-45 sockets. Ensure the source system outputs a 4K signal at 3840 x 2160 over HDMI and that the target display accepts that resolution through its HDMI input. The package includes an HDMI LockPro cable retention clip and user instructions for initial configuration.
