Four-camera analogue kit

This VideoSecu IRE96WK4 pack contains four wired bullet cameras for CCTV systems. Each unit uses a 1/3 inch Sony Effio CCD sensor and delivers up to 700 TV lines of resolution. The cameras require a separate DVR for recording and are not compatible with HD or wireless platforms. They suit installers building or expanding a traditional analogue surveillance setup.

BNC wiring and bracket routing

Connection is made through a BNC video lead and a DC 12 V supply, both included in the pack. The bracket conceals the cables inside its body to deter vandalism and simplify the mounting surface. A common issue is forgetting that the DVR must provide a matching analogue input for every camera channel. Power supplies must be sited within reach of a mains socket for each location.

Analogue limits and varifocal range

The 4–9 mm varifocal lens lets you adjust the field of view between wide and narrow angles on site. Maximum detail is capped at 700 TV lines, so facial recognition at distance stays limited compared with digital megapixel formats. IP66 rating protects the housings against dust and heavy rain but does not extend to the power adapters. The system cannot be upgraded to IP networking without replacing the entire backbone.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 700 TVL resolution is active after connecting the BNC cable?

The on-screen image should show sharp detail in daylight colour and switch to clear black-and-white when the 42 IR LEDs engage at night.

Which items are included in the 4-pack and what must I supply myself?

Four bullet cameras with brackets, four 12 V DC power supplies and a warning sticker are provided; a compatible CCTV DVR and BNC video cables are not included.

Should I choose the 4-9 mm varifocal lens or a fixed focal length for my install?

Only the 4-9 mm varifocal version is offered in this pack, letting you adjust the field of view between wide and narrow angles on each camera.
