Questions about this item

Does this preamp microphone need a separate power supply to work with my DVR?

The on-board IC preamp boosts the microphone's low output voltage to a stronger usable level, so it connects directly to the DVR audio input without an external power adapter.

Will the 5mm mini microphone pick up sound clearly alongside my existing analogue cameras?

Yes, the super high gain and auto level adjustment on the preamp circuit are designed to capture clear audio evidence for any CCTV surveillance DVR system.

How can I confirm the microphone is recording after I install it?

Play back footage on your DVR; if the recorded files contain clear, amplified sound with low noise, the preamp and microphone are functioning correctly.
