Four-camera analog kit

This pack supplies four dome cameras built around a 1/3-inch Sony Super HAD CCD sensor and color DSP. Each unit captures 600 TV lines of horizontal resolution through a 3.6 mm wide-angle lens, switching automatically from colour by day to black-and-white at night. Twenty infrared LEDs per camera provide up to 65 feet of night vision at 0.0 lux. The cameras are designed for indoor or outdoor use with a vandal-resistant aluminium housing rated for weather and dust.

Check DVR and cabling first

These cameras output analog NTSC video over wired BNC connections, so an analog DVR with available BNC inputs is required. Each camera needs a DC 12 V supply; four matching power adapters are included in the box. Verify that your recorder supports standard-definition analog signals, because the cameras are not compatible with HD or IP recording systems. No wireless transmission or network capability is present.

Mounting and power layout

The fixed 3.6 mm lens gives a wide field of view suitable for general coverage of entryways, hallways or yards. Vandal-proof die-cast aluminium housings allow surface mounting on walls or ceilings in exposed locations. Each camera draws power from its own 12 V adapter, so plan for four nearby mains outlets or a multi-output supply. Coaxial video cables must be run from every camera position back to the DVR, and a monitor is needed for live viewing or playback.

Questions about this item

What comes in the 4-pack and what else is needed to run the cameras?

The box contains four dome cameras, four 12 V DC power supplies and a warning sticker. You must add a DVR, BNC cables and a monitor, which are not included.

How do I choose between the 3.6 mm lens and other focal lengths?

This pack only includes the 3.6 mm wide-angle lens, giving a broad field of view suited for general coverage; no other focal-length options are offered.

What does 600 TV lines mean for recorded footage on a DVR?

600 TV lines is the analog horizontal resolution the camera delivers over its BNC output; the DVR will capture that signal at standard NTSC frame rates.
