50 GB BD-R DL media for archiving

This pack contains 25 double-layer Blu-ray discs rated at 50 GB each. They are designed for users who need to archive high-definition video, 3D movies, photos or large data sets on write-once optical media. The 6x maximum write speed is supported by compatible burners.

White inkjet printable hub surface

Each disc features a white inkjet-printable surface that extends to the hub, allowing full-colour, edge-to-edge labels to be printed directly on the disc. This removes the need for adhesive labels or handwritten markers and produces a professional finish for distribution or personal organisation.

Check burner compatibility and inkjet printer

Verify that your Blu-ray writer supports BD-R DL media at 6x speed before purchasing. You will also need an inkjet printer with a disc-printing tray or adapter to use the printable surface; thermal or thermal-retransfer printers are not suitable for this coating.

Questions about this item

Will the white inkjet hub printable surface on these 50GB BD-R DL discs smudge or fade after printing?

The inkjet printable surface accepts standard dye or pigment inks and dries to a water-resistant finish; allow prints to cure fully before handling to avoid smudging.

What limits continuous writing when burning multiple 50GB BD-R DL discs at the rated 6X speed?

The 6X maximum write speed is the ceiling; sustained burns at that rate are limited by the drive's firmware and thermal management, not by the media itself.

How much heat or noise do these blank 50GB BD-R DL discs generate during all-day archival burns?

The discs are passive media and produce no noise or heat; any warmth or sound comes from the optical drive performing the write operations.
