Fingerprint door access control with a 2.8 inch TFT display and IP65 weather resistance
The Virdi Bl-DA AC5000RF is a networked fingerprint door access controller with a 2.8 inch colour TFT display. It authenticates users by fingerprint without requiring a separate key press. The unit suits residential or small-commercial doors where biometric self-authentication replaces cards or codes.
Rated IP65, the device withstands rain and dust for outdoor mounting. Power over Ethernet supplies the unit through the LAN cable, removing the need for a separate power cable. A terminal block is also provided for alternative wiring. The slim standing-type housing keeps the profile discreet on the door frame.
Administrators can download custom background images and voice messages from the server to the built-in display. The colour LCD and touch-key backlight remain legible in low light. Auto-sensing detects a presented fingerprint and starts authentication immediately, streamlining daily entry.

Connect a single LAN cable to the PoE port for both power and data; the common error is also wiring the terminal block, which creates a dual-power conflict.
Clean the optical sensor window and LCD with a soft, dry cloth monthly; check door seals annually to maintain the IP65 rating against rain ingress.
The device stores up to 5000 fingerprint templates; performance degrades first when the enrolled user base approaches this cap during high-frequency authentication bursts.
