VIVE Focus Facial Tracker

The VIVE 99HATH00300 Facial Tracker adds real-time face capture to VIVE Focus 3 and VIVE Focus Vision headsets. It tracks 38 blend shapes across the lips, jaw, cheeks, chin, teeth and tongue at a 60 Hz rate. The mono tracking camera connects directly to the headset's built-in USB-C port. No separate adapters or cables are required for operation.

Build Integration Needs

The accessory draws power and data through the headset's existing USB-C connection, leaving no extra cables to route. It supports Unity, Unreal Engine and native SDKs so developers can integrate facial data into PC VR or standalone applications. The tracker is designed only for the VIVE Focus series and will not function with other headset platforms.

Upgrade Context

This tracker replaces the absence of hardware face capture on the supported headsets, enabling expressive avatars for VRChat, VTubing and social VR. The jump is worth it when 38 blend shapes at 60 Hz are required for lifelike mouth and jaw movement. It does not add eye tracking, body tracking or additional camera sensors.
