1000ft Cat5e CCA bulk cable

This 1000ft roll of Cat5e unshielded twisted pair cable uses copper clad aluminum conductors at 24 AWG. It arrives in a pull box without connectors so installers can cut custom lengths for indoor network runs. The gray jacket is one of four colour options offered for this model.

Check CCA limits before ordering

Copper clad aluminum construction means this cable is not UL, NEC, ETL or TIA certified and the supplier notes it is not recommended for Power over Ethernet applications. Verify that your project does not require certified solid copper or PoE support before committing to this reel.

Behaviour on long pulls

The solid 4 pair UTP design keeps the cable stiff enough to push through conduit but flexible enough to spool from the box without kinking. Because it lacks shielding and certification, sustained signal integrity depends on run length, termination quality and the absence of strong electromagnetic interference along the route.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy RJ45 connectors separately?

The box contains a 1000ft spool of Cat5e UTP CCA 24 AWG cable in a pull-box; RJ45 connectors are not included and must be purchased separately.

How do I choose between the colour options for this cable?

The cable is supplied in Gray; Red and Blue are alternative colour options for the same specification, so choose the colour that best suits your installation aesthetics.

What does the Cat5e rating mean for real-world network speeds?

Cat5e supports up to 1 Gigabit Ethernet over 100 metres; the CCA construction makes it unsuitable for Power over Ethernet and it carries no UL, NEC, ETL or TIA certification.
