VIVO Orange Pruning Shears 6.5 Inch

These VIVO orange pruning shears feature 6.5 inch straight stainless steel blades designed for garden trimming and shaping tasks. The ambidextrous handles suit both right and left-handed users for comfortable one-hand operation. They are intended for gardeners, bonsai enthusiasts and anyone needing precise cuts on small stems, flowers and vegetable plants.

Installation and common issues

No assembly is required as the shears arrive ready to use straight from the pack. The sideways locking mechanism secures the blades when not in use and releases easily for ambidextrous operation. Users should clean the blades after each use to prevent sap buildup that can stiffen the pivot and reduce cutting performance over time.

Capacity and headroom

The stainless steel blades handle deadheading, trimming and shaping of roses, annuals, vegetables and bonsai with precision. The micro-tip design allows access between dense foliage to clip target areas without damaging surrounding stems. They are not suited for cutting thicker branches or heavy-duty pruning tasks beyond small stems and leaves.

Questions about this item

How do I know the locking mechanism is working properly after first use?

The sideways lock should click securely into place and keep the stainless steel blades fully closed when not in use, preventing accidental opening.

What comes in the package and is anything else needed to start pruning?

The pack contains one orange 6.5 inch anvil pruner with 2.1 inch and 2.7 inch straight stainless steel blades; no additional tools are required.

Which blade length suits detailed deadheading versus general trimming?

The 2.1 inch micro tips allow precise clipping between dense stems, while the 2.7 inch section handles slightly larger cuts on roses, annuals and vegetables.
