2.5" SAS tray for HP ProLiant

This Vszerda tray caddy fits a single 2.5" SAS hard drive into the drive bays of HP ProLiant DL, ML and BL servers from the G5, G6 and G7 families. It also matches the sled format used in HP Integrity blades and StorageWorks arrays. The metal frame ships with four mounting screws for immediate installation.

Capacity and headroom

The caddy accepts one 2.5" drive and presents a standard SAS connector to the backplane. It adds no controller or expander, so total storage is limited to the single device installed. Builders needing multiple drives must populate additional bays with separate caddies.

Thermals, noise and power

The tray has no active cooling or electronics of its own; it relies entirely on the server chassis airflow. In normal operation it contributes no audible noise and draws no power beyond the drive itself. The metal construction conducts heat from the drive into the chassis cooling path.
