Purpose-Built Server Drive Caddy

This pack contains four 2.5-inch hard drive tray caddies designed for Dell PowerEdge servers from the 14th, 15th and 16th generations. Each tray accepts a single SAS or SATA drive and ships with the necessary mounting screws for installation.

Compatibility Scope

The caddies fit a wide range of rack and tower models including R340, R440, R640, R740, R740xd, R840, R940, R6415, R7415, R7425 and newer 15th and 16th generation equivalents. They also support Dell XC series appliances such as XC640-4 and XC740xd-24. Systems using 3.5-inch drive bays or proprietary sled designs will not accept these trays.

Critical Specification

The tray supports 2.5-inch SAS and SATA hard drives only, with a maximum of one device per caddy. The SAS hardware interface is the defining compatibility factor; drives with other interfaces will not function in this carrier.
